Royal Nairobi is Kenya's oldest golf club, established in 1906 as a 9-hole course and later extended to 18 holes in the 1920s. It is the ultimate urban golf destination in Kenya. The 72 par course is beautifully manicured and maintained, encompassing a mix of level and undulating terrain. Royal offers an unforgettable experience, for both beginners and experienced golfers. Fun fact: Wild animals roamed the course in the early days and a marauding leopard was shot on the course in 1919. The Nairobi Club, as it was originally called, hosted the first East African Ladies' championship in 1932 under the auspices of the Kenya Golf Union. Three years later, in Jubilee year, King George V granted the club a royal title. Today, Royal Nairobi Golf Club has a reciprocal relationship with other 'Royal' courses worldwide.
