There is no more inherent risk travelling on safari than anywhere else in the world. While on safari you will be in wildlife territory most of the time and you will come into relatively close proximity with wild animals. However, the safari camps are safe and the guides accompanying you are well trained. TGS provides Flying Doctors Medical Cover that ensures quick evacuation to the closest high-level medical facility.

Malaria carrying mosquitos are prevalent in most areas of Sub-Saharan Africa particularly during the hot- wet season of November to March. We recommend you see your doctor for a prophylactic before traveling to Africa at any time of the year.

Hepatitis A & B and Typhoid vaccinations should be considered. Contact a travelers clinic for specific recommendations and talk to your doctor for additional recommendations.

All the safari camps and lodges that we use in Eastern Africa supply filtered and bottled water. We do encourage our guests not to over use the bottled water, for environmental reasons. Having a water flask that can be filled up by the camps clean water supply is something to consider.

In order to secure your booking for our golf safari excursions you will be required to pay a deposit of up to 50% of the total invoice. This is used to pay and secure your accommodation and flights to the safari camps. You will then need to pay the balance 30 days prior to departure date.
